Powers of Place
Of the many initiatives that I’ve helped to start over the years, perhaps the most dear to my heart is The Powers of Place Initiative, which I co-founded in 2006 with my close friend and colleague, Sheryl Erickson.
The founding premise of the initiative is as follows: “We are a network of people with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds brought together by the Fetzer Institute to catalyze a new field of study and practice based on the premise that right relationship between people and the places where they gather and inhabit offers the potential for transformative action toward what is needed at this moment in history.”
I still serve as a correspondent to the Initiative, and have included three of my essays for the publicati0n “Perspectives” below. I appreciate your comments and feedback.
