  • You are finding a way to articulate what is dancing
around in many peoples’ minds, but not yet
    put together.

I know what this feels like, it is hard work! I feel a great
deal of kindred understanding and experience here,
this is very much almost the whole argument, not in terms of the specifics of Philanthropy, but in the general value
system that prevails, what I am exploring in my new book
(not yet finished). Well done, I can feel as you are
working this, how it can allow a kind of momentum of new realization to break free.

  • Thank you. I would love to mention this in my own blog. Would you be ok if I write about this and direct people here?
For me, this is a system structure and mental models story…and, your telling of it is beautiful. Thank you.

  • HI Tom. This is a very powerful and insightful story. At the Gandhi 3.0 conference in India this past month someone shared your story (I think it was Nipun) as a means. I was so inspired by it that I then shared it at the retreat we held for our grantees in India. I intend to refer to the story for years to come and use it as my own personal inquiry for how to use my resources to create the causes and conditions for that fifth monk to arise.

      best,
      Tom
